One would think that a magical run through a season that included a share of the ACC regular season championship, an 18th ACC Tournament title and culminating with a fourth NCAA National Championship would satisfy the Duke University men’s basketball team.
However, with the return of two players that could contend for national player of the year honors in Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith, only one thing can satisfy the Blue Devils in the 2010-11 NCAA basketball season – repeating as National Champions and earning a fifth national championship for head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
“To repeat is a bad word (to use),†Krzyzewski said in a recent interview with the Associated Press. “…What you want to do is have the same result, of winning the national championship, but figure out what journey you’re going to be on along the way. And so pursue is a good word for me, and develop. We’re going to be a developing team throughout.â€
