Oak Ridge Takes Title at Bass Pro Shops TOC in Springfield, Missouri(Chris Jones MVP with 29 pts.)

Oak Ridge Military Academy defeated Douglass High School from Oklahoma City, OK by the score of 87-62 in the championship game of the 2011 Bass Pro Shops
Tournament of Champions in Springfield, Missouri. Tournament MVP Chris Jones
led the Cadets with 29 points, 4 assists and 4 steals. Freshman Theo Pinson
tallied 21 points and 4 rebounds and was named to the All Tournament Team.
Senior Michael Neal had 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. The Cadets won
despite losing Senior Jacob Lawson for the season with an achilles tendon tear
in the semi-finals against De Lasalle from Chicago. Michael Obacha had 9
rebounds for the Cadets and he received the Tournament Spirit Award. This
marked the fourth tournament championship for the Cadets this season.

The 2011 Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions championship game tonight
between Oak Ridge Military Academy and Douglass HS (Oklahoma City, OK) will be televised nationally on CBS Sports. The game is tonight at 8:00 PM (NC Time)
and will air on this Monday, January 17th on CBS Sports at 9:00 PM (NC time).
There will be a 30 minute show on the Tournament itself, followed by the game.
On DirectTV the channel is 613. They are trying to find what channel it is for Time Warner Cable as well.

This will be tremendous exposure for the school and the kids are excited for the
opportunity to represent on a national stage.
