  2. It was a wild night at Western Alamance. At halftime of the girls game, the Wildcat Crazies came into what was an already crowded gym on the visitor’s side. So, they had to sit in a section of the home side. They tuned up a little bit during the girls game but it was obvious all the smack talking had been holding for the guys game. Once Gunn and Huffman led the Wildcat team into the gym, the Crazies ignighted and were a major voice to be heard during the game. Of course there was competion from the home team’s own student section. They were just as loud. Neither section sat down the entire game. Law Enforcement and school administrators kept a watchful eye on the crowd and made sure no one got out of hand. A lot of these kids have played parks and rec ball with each other and against each other since elementary days, so needless to say, it has all the makings of a good cross the county line rivalry. Kudos goes out to all the kids who made last night’s action at Western Alamance one of the most enjoyable high school game in many years.

To the Wildcat Crazies: There are three home games left. Let’s see if you can keep the spirit going!!!!

Note: To the Eastern Guilford Administrators…let these kids have some school spirit. There is no harm in allowing these kids to show some pride in their school and their athletic teams.

  3. EG vs WA was what high school athletics should be all about. good competition between the players and great support by the students from both schools. the atmosphere was great. good thing it was at WA instead of EG. it was fun watching the wildcat crazies. it’s a shame they aren’t allowed to be as supportive at home games. but give them credit, the students came out in force for an away game on a rainy tuesday night. great job as usual by hairston and huffman, huffman was the man in the first half, and hairston took over in the 4th. gunn and moss both had huge baskets late in the game. also, give credit to the entire coaching staff, they have those guys playing great ball at the right time of the year. can’t wait for the conference tournament!

  4. Tracey G. #1 for Smith High School had 30 points last night and I’m sure he had a double-double as well.!!
