Southeast Guilford Girl’s Soccer Round Two Playoff Winners knocking off WS Reagan and now Ardrey Kell is up next in Round Three…

from Friday night at busy Southeast Guilford High School:

NCHSAA Women’s Soccer Round One of the 4-A Playoffs…..
Southeast Guilford 2
WS Reagan 1

SEG(16-2-2)

The Southeast Guilford girls finished the regular season at 14-2-2 and were the outright 4A Metro champions, beating out great, established programs, in Grimsley, Page and Western Guilford.

SEG won their first round playoff game over SW Guilford 1-0 and Friday night they beat Reagan 2-1 behind goals from Meredith Dunker and Logan Hurley.

They move on to the third round to play the winner of Ardrey Kell and Ragsdale.

These young ladies have done an outstanding job all season. Issac Welker has coached those kids since they were freshmen and sophomores on the JV team and now he is leading them on to the Third Round of the State Playoffs.

Good job by the Southeast Guilford Lady Falcons and their playoff tested team, in the NCHSSA Soccer playoffs and let’s hope that they, along with the Falcon baseball and softball teams, can continue representing Guilford County and the SEG Community all the way the finals this season……

To Coach Welker and his Falcons, keep the victories coming and keep the Falcons flying high……….

  1. Hey Andy

I coach football over at Southeast. Issac Welker is the girls soccer coach, I just emailed you the results of the game. Thanks.

  2. Thanks coach, I did some editing and got that squared away…..I remember Coach Welker from when he was coaching the boy’s team at Southeast Guilford, back when Jay Goldsmith was a freshman there, as I believe the goalie on the soccer team….Goldsmith now doing quite well for the NWG Vikings in Lacrosse…

Coach you may be the main man that I remeber working with Coach Doak at SEG a few years back on JV Baseball and probably football too…..

Good job by the Falcons and thanks for the send……
