Ten players kicked off Clover, South Carolina HS football team after hazing incidents

Ten players have been permanently kicked off the Clover, South Carolina high school football team…..Thirteen playes were suspended last week for hazing suspicions and now 10 of those players have been permanently kicked off of the Clover team….One player reported an incident where he was sexually threatened with a broomstick….

The Clover team is coached by John Devine, who had very successful run as the coach at Belmont South Point, here in North Carolina……Devine’s Red Raiders won State 3-A titles at South Point, but now he is enthralled in a behavioral nightmare in Clover, South Carolina…..

CLOVER Hazing allegations involving younger Clover High School football players abused by upperclassmen led school officials Monday to kick 10 players off the team permanently.

The dismissal is the latest action in what Clover schools Superintendent Marc Sosne called “terribly disappointing behavior in our high school that has harmed the reputation of both the school and the community.”

  1. Dr. Marc Sosne the superintendent was employed by the Guilford County Schools in the 80,s. I think he was principal at Guilford Middle School.

  2. “Train a child up in the way he should go and when he’s older, he won’t depart from it”…….this is a prime example of a few who knew in their hearts that the pranks had gone too far yet still decided to continue. Peer pressure is something else! Couldn’t there been at least ONE that said….”we’re taking the pranks too far. We need to stop?” smh.
