College Men’s Soccer Final – Washington and Lee 1, Guilford 0

LEXINGTON, Va. – Justin TenBrook’s tally in the 82nd minute broke a scoreless tie and sent host Washington and Lee University to a 1-0 soccer win over Guilford College Saturday at Watt Field.

The Generals’ (7-4-1) sixth straight victory improved their Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) mark to 4-2-1. Guilford is 5-7-2 (2-5 ODAC).

TenBrook scored his third goal of the season after taking a feed from Connor Pierce and blasting it from the top of the box to the right of Guilford goalie Peter Truitt. The Quakers could not muster a shot in the final eight minutes.

Ben Petitto made three saves for Washington and Lee to earn his fifth shutout of the season. Truitt had five stops for the Quakers, who were outshot, 12-7, in the game.

The Quakers are back in action Wednesday at Hampden-Sydney College for a 4:00 p.m. ODAC match.
