BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Abby Dehoff scored a goal and an assist in Bridgewater College’s 2-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) soccer win over visiting Guilford College Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles (12-3, 7-2 ODAC) have won six straight matches. Guilford (9-6-2, 4-3-2 ODAC) has dropped three of its last four outings.
Dehoff assisted the Eagles’ first goal, Meghan Groos’ third of the season, in the 17th minute, which gave the hosts a 1-0 halftime lead. Dehoff doubled Bridgewater’s advantage with her her third goal of the year seven minutes into the second half.
The Eagles outshot Guilford, 10-6, and had three of the game’s corner kicks. Mackenzie Gates stopped three shots for her third shutout of the season. Guilford goalie Amy Baker made four stops.
The Quakers are back in action Wednesday (10/19) against visiting league-rival Roanoke College at 4:00 p.m.
