There is still MAYBE beside the names of Southeast Guilford, Western Guilford, Grimsley, Ragsdale, High Point Central, Eastern Guilford, Northeast Guilford, Southern Guilford and High Point Andrews on Jason Wolf’s War Room Charts at the N&R……
Right now the overall playoff picture is as clear as mud……

So there is still a chance for Grimsley? Remind me of that old LL baseball joke. We are down 17 to nothing but we still got a chance…we haven’t gotten our at bat yet.
If Grimsley were to win out against Southern Alamance and Dudley they could still get in …..That would put them at (3-3) in the conference and make them (4-7) overall and then you drop the one loss since they played 11 games and they and they are (4-6)….That would make possibly Page(6-0)…..Dudley(4-2) or (5-1)…..SEG(4-2) or they could be (3-3), Western Guilford would be (3-3) or (4-2)…….You could have and you do have any of those five teams/scenarios going after a potential four spots……SEG and WG have the head-to-head over Grimsley if they all three were to finish at (3-3), but the scenario shows that whoever wins the WG-SEG game, they will go (4-2)….If WG wins they are (4-2)…If SEG wins then they are (4-1) going to Page next Friday night…….
Plenty of mud in the bottom of the pond as you try to come back up to the top…….Grimsley has to win out versus SA and Dudley to create the probablity….Makes for some interesting case studies….
Sounds a lot like an Andy Griffith episode. You know the one where Barney dabbles in real estate. The Sims want to buy Andy’s house. The Williams want to by the Sims house and Andy wants to by the William’s house. Hope there is no mud in the basement or this whole deal could go south.
Amazing what CAN happen in one yr……………what happened to Smith??? Don’t give me the “everyone graduated” nonsense that I keep hearing either as I recall both CarolinaPreps and NCPreps had them competing with Page for the Metro crown. Ohh well…….
Sports writers at N&R must not have a clue when it comes to high school football playoffs. He still has a Maybe besides the names of Northeast, Andrews, Southern Guilford, Ragsdale, and Southeast Guilford???? What is he thinking. All these teams are in and have been in for a couple weeks now. With the crazy playoff system the state has all you need is 4 wins to be playoff eligable. Some of these teams he says is on the bubble has 6 or 7 wins already. Even Eastern guilford and High Point Central i believe has 4 wins and will be in the playoffs. Those teams are already in the playoffs. Clearly the sports writers at N&R dont know high school sports if they think that those teams are still on the bubble in making the playoffs.
