Carter Smith(Grimsley HS) and his ‘Cats just keep it coming and now they are headed to the NCAA DIII Round of 16(Sweet Sixteen) in Soccer

Carter Smith(Greensboro Grimsley Class of 2010) has led his Randolph College Wildcat team to the NCAA DIII Round of 16, in Soccer…..Stunning win by Carter and his ‘Cats over Christopher Newport on Saturday and then Randolph College finished off the field, with another vitory, with this one coming in the Regional Championship game on Sunday…..The ‘Cardiac Cats’ are on the attack and headed to the DIII Sweet Sixteen this weekend…..Aren’t the DIII Finals in Greensboro this year at Bryan Park???

Carter and the ‘Cates took down the #2 team, Christopher Newport, back on Saturday 2 – 1 and then defeated DeSales University on Sunday 3-2 to reach the DIII SWEET SIXTEEN.

Carter Smith was ‘The Man’ in goal both games. He made several point blank stops/saves
against CNU’s all American forwards…More of the same on Sunday, in the Championship Game… Carter finished the weekend with 20 saves….

This is a very young Randolph College soccer team, but they just keep finding a way to win/end…You could hear the “Cardiac Cats” chants in the crowd Saturday…was a sell out crowd..All in attendance said that this was just an awesome environment…

Now for Randolph College and their keeper of the ‘Cats, Carter Smith, it is on to the Sweet 16, playing the University of Texas-Tyler in Redlands, California on Friday….
