  1. A fight? Does anyone have details as to what happen? Were there any ejections?

Hey Andy, can you find out some information on this matter?

  2. There was an altercation but not during the game. After the game some fans and southern guilford basketball team where fighting. Andrews basketball team was not invoved.

  3. Wow, thank you for the info fan. Glad to hear the Andrews team was not involved.

Last thing id do is get into an altercation if i had just got beat by 30 points. I would probably keep my mouth shut and walk to the bus. Hate to see these thigns happen, sounds to me like someone needs to get control over the Southern basketball team

  4. Talked to a coach that was there and he said he felt there should have been more or at least some type of security for the Southern Guilford team as they were headed to their bus…..From what I am hearing, the HPA boys team was not involved….

Will try to more details later on this morning, but the word is, that the fight/altercation happened outside the gym after the game…..

  5. Security??? Its a high school team leaving a gym. Its not the Miami Heat trying to get out of the gym. A high school team of 12 players. Shouldnt the team have their head coach, probably an assisstant coach, and the Athletic Director and an Administrator. That is 4 adults that should be able to get a high school team of 12 players out of another high school.

  6. The altercation happened due to unruly students at HPA. The SG boys basketball team had nothing to do with anything that happened. Students from HPA came out of nowhere and jumped players from SG. SG did not retaliate and School Resource Officers were able to obtain the iindividuals responsible for this matter. Better measures need to be taken by HPA so that this doesn’t happen again.

  7. Probably splitting hairs, but I doubt that AD and administator were traveling with the boys team…..If you get jumped from behind, hard to respond and we still don’t know the numbers…..15-20 on 12 could be tough odds and those things can happen so fast….Hope they get to the bottom of it and get everything cleared up…..

  8. High Point Andrews over Southern Guilford girls by three points at the end of the game and we will have to get you that score….We have people checking on it…..Southern was up as many as 13 points in the first half…..

As far as the altercation goes…..Word has it that 6-8 High Point Andrews fans and not HPA basketball players gathered around one of the boys from Southern Guilford and started some kind of chant and they did the chant and then jumped the kid….It got kind of crazy for a few minutes as more people got involved and then two SRO officers intervened and broke it up and the word is there were arrests…….Could have stemmed from some sort of arguing that was going on before the game and then carried over to the parking lot after the game……What took place happened in the parking lot and not in the gym…..People were trying to break it up, but it was a tough one to break up……The SRO officers got things under control…..

Should be heightened security for the High Central-HP Andrews game on Friday night at HP Andrews….

Everyone is saying that Abraham Hiatt, on Andrews team, is one of the hardest workers that they have ever seen…..

  9. Much of what happened really got started wiith the social network/media outlets(Facebook) before the kids even got to the game and then carried over with the altercation after the game in the parking lot as the Southern Guilford team was headed to the bus……Got to be careful with the Social Media outlets…..

  10. That #30 Courtland McCoy had a terrific game and is very hard working and i can see him having a very prosperous season this year.
What colleges are looking at him?
