High School Wrestling from last night

Had to be one of the better matches of the night, with Cole Wyrick(Northeast Guilford) winning by a decision, 8-5, over Curtis Smith from Northwest Guilford, in the 195 pound weight class….That had to be a big battle there and a big win for Wyrick over Smith, as both young men are outstanding wrestlers….

Coach Bare’s NWG team improves to (5-0) with the win over NEG…In the 220 pound class Jason Leonard grabbed another victory, claiming a 12-4 decision and Jacob McCann(285) got the heavyweight win for NEG…

Very good focus win for Adam Couch of SEG at 160 pounds, in the Falcons shutout victory over Grimsley…Very trying 2 weeks for Couch, who has gone through a lot down in the Southeast community, in recent days……

Also HP Andrews topped Southwest Guilford…..41-30…

  1. On Dec 14 Falcons wrestle Southern Alamance. Better get to Southeast early for this one. Falcons defeated SA last year by one point and won a conference championship for Jim Cox for the first time in school history. Andy, clear your schedule and come on down. I’ll save you a seat.
