GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College sophomore Gabby Oglesby (Winston-Salem, N.C./Mount Tabor) earned the school’s Student-Athlete of the Week Award Tuesday. The weekly prize is presented by Guilford’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

She had a team-and career-high 26 points on 13-for-18 shooting, and tied a team-high with 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season in Guilford’s 82-66 win over Meredith College Dec. 10. In Guilford’s 75-66 victory over Roanoke College Dec. 6, Oglesby recorded 11 points, three rebounds, and a steal. Oglesby’s 69% field-goal shooting during the week helped the Quakers extend their winning streak to six games, the program’s longest since 2002-03.
