  1. That Ragsdale – NWG game was hard to watch especially in the fourth quarter. Ragsdale was up 3 at the half and looked okay. NWG spent the whole half chucking up threes and made just enough to keep it close. They came out hot to start the third and got the lead up to 8-10 and kept it there most of the second half.

But that fourth quarter…NWG couldn’t make a FT and Ragsdale couldn’t get a rebound. And when they did they couldn’t dribble or make a pass. NWG played a lot of 1-3-1 zone and Ragsdale never could figure out how to attack it. One that Ragsdale could have won.

  2. Hats off to Coach Shoemaker. It looked like he had a game plan at the beginning to go inside, and it was working. Northwest seemed to not know what they were doing at the beginning. First game that I have been to this year. Ragsdale looks to have a young team and it shows. I had heard that Northwest had a lot of shooters. It looked like they were setting screens and sometimes double screens for one of their shooters but he wasn’t hitting much. A few times not even drawing rim. The other players were having to shoot with defenders in their face.
With around four minutes left in game, Ragsdale started to foul to get back into game and Coach Shoemaker was moving players in and out and calling time outs. Great job of coaching a young team. I think that if they had more time, they would have pulled out the win.
Northwest looked like they were just trying to run time out of the clock but some players would just hold the ball instead of passing so they could add to their stats, Very selfish and that is how Ragsdale cut the score. Even when Northwest hit both free throws, Ragsdale would get three on the other end. I am looking forward to watching Ragsdale play more. Coach Shoemaker, you have a fan.
