Greensboro Day School(16-1) at Providence Day School in Charlotte today and for scheduling purposes, Providence Day was up here playing Wesleyan last night and why didn’t they just stay in town overnight and play the GDS-PDS game at GDS, on Lawndale Drive today…..Coach Freddy Johnson going for win #819 today and he will surpass Coach Harvey Reid from Wilson Fike HS with the victory…..I remember seeing Coach Reid over at Dudley for several games over the years and a great man and a great coach….As is Freddy Johnson and his mentor Coach Mac Morris, who was an assistant football coach at Page back in the day, to go along with his key basketball coaching duties…..
We have said it before and we’ll say it again, we are very fortunate to have ooaches like Freddy Johnson, David Price and Robert Kent in our town….They are the veterans and they have put our local high school basketball teams on the map…..They picked up where Mac Morris and Phil Weaver left off and have kept the ball rolling in Guilford County for many years….
Great work turned in by Freddy Johnson and we plan on seeing many more victories from man who made Lawndale Drive famous…..GDS is the real LDI……..And if you drive into the lane, you better get your shot out of there unless you are a proven GDS Bengal……
Some say you reap what you sow, in this case no one is more deserving than Freddy Johnson with his lasting impressions on the School, Community and his players! Some also say behind every good man is a great woman, MaryMar this one is for you too! Congratulations and continue to set ht bar High! No doubt the Bengals are the REAL DEAL!
