Shining Light boys and girls split games with Fayetteville Street Christian School out of Asheboro

The girls from Fayetteville Street proved to be too much and showed why they are the
defending State Champions beating Shining Light Academy 74-20. Jordan Lanier led
all scorers with 17 points.

In a big conference match and repeat of last years State Championship Game the
Knights from Shining Light beat Fayetteville Street Christian 63-55. Shining Light
was up most of the game by 12 to 15 points and Fayetteville St. battled back to 4
points until Shining Light hit their free throws down the stretch to preserve the
win. Sophomores Caleb Jeffries & Caleb Robinson scored 18 and 16. Junior Aaron
Whitman added 15 points. Matthew Jeffries contributed 14 rebounds and some solid
defense. With this win Shining Light goes to 2-0 in conference play.
