High School Basketball Tonight as regular season is winding down

Grimsley at Dudley….Very big game on the boys end and we will have that game for you on AM950 radio, beginning at 6:45pm with the pre-game and the tip is set for 7:30….(Game also available on www.wpetam950.com.) We also hope to have updates on Greensboro Day at High Point Christian and this will be a large determiner in the boys’ PACIS Title….(Regular season only, no PACIS Tournament….States for NCISAA begin week after next, with Championships set for Raleigh Ravenscroft on Feb. 25…..We will also be looking to update you on Page at Southeast Guilford and Southern Alamance at Smith….Would also like to get you an update on WG at NWG, boys and girls and we hope to have boys and girls coming in for you on all of these…..We will have updates on the games here at the site all through the night….Northern Guilford girls at Burlington Williams is another Big One this evening and we might be able to get a score from Chris Jones on this one…..

Grimsley at Dudley….Dudley boys still battling for top spot in Metro or at least a portion of it….
Page at Southeast Guilford….Girls and boys both real big here…..
Southern Alamance at Smith….Girls has more intrigue than boys, with both ladies’ squads at (6-5) on the way into Ben L. Smith….
Greensboro Day School at High Point Christian…Boys with GDS(27-2) vs. HPCA(26-1)…
Western Guilford at Northwest Guilford….Senior Night for Natalie Harper, Alyssa Munson, Brandi Burrell, Matt Pawlowski, Keaton Haack, Hunter Clary, Cody Hylton and others and if I left anyone out, add in….Last boys game went OT and they played at Guilford College…
Caldwell Academy at New Garden Friends School….Boys game only at 4:30pm and we should have a score on this one here early at this site….This game is as big within the Bears and Eagles’ camps, as GDS at HPCA…..
Southern Guilford at Northeast Guilford…It would be an upset if SG boys beat NEG and the same could be said if NEG girls can get past SG Storm girls and both of these outcomes could take place tonight, at the John Primm Gym….Senior Night here too for RAMS and that will be the case at every home place on the schedule this evening, one would assume….
WS Parkland at Southwest Guilford….Cowboys and Cowgirls need to close with victories…..
Northern Guilford at Burlington Williams…..NG girls need this one in a bad way and the Nighthawk boys have already clinched first place….
Eastern Guilford at Eastern Alamance…Two very tough tasks for the EG Wildcats this evening, but they can do it……Both teams should be set to make sectional appearances….
High Point Central at Ragsdale….Both games could go either way…HPC got the sweep in the first meeting, on their ‘home’ court at SWG……
Wheatmore at High Point Andrews….This has been a very good year for Coach Brian Seagraves and his Raider men and the Raider women have not looked this good, since back in the days of Coach Sue Shinn….Might be the best year in school history for HPA women….Both teams have been on the mark this season….Only part of the deal that gets you and hits you is, I hear Wheatmore is pretty good…The Warriors will put up a fight tonight…..

  2. Had not heard that name in while, thanks for sending that our way….Sue Shinn is still a legend throughout North Carolina and Virginia and we congratulate them all on their body of work…..

  5. We will have updates on AM950 radio and also plan to have updates here on the site…We hit the air at around 6:45 from Dudley and the HPCA-GDS tips off at arouind 7pm so we should a report coming in at around 7:05pm and then more on through the night….

  7. Heard Shinn was supposed to be in HPA Hall of Fame, not sure about Conte…..

    Another female coaching pioneer like Shinn was Mary Jo Lentz at Dudley….Was basketball coach for Pam Doggett and Doggett was one of the best in the state and one of the top track and field stars of the 80’s….Lentz was later on Dudley AD….

    Shinn, Lentz, Doggett and Conte….I had heard that Conte used to be the boys basketball coach over at Westchester? Anyone know for sure/
