  1. Tough loss for our young eagleslettes 58-56, but I believe that are conference will get five in and if so that will certainly help. A 14-11 record is still a great job by coach Gunn on the heals of a 23-6 record last year and a conference tournament championship with primarily a junior, 4 freshmen ,3 sophomores and one dominant senior. This team could be very interesting come next season with two freshmen starting guards that saw quite a bit of action in Patterson and Shiers. These types of close games will benefit them down the road. Also keep in mind that we loss by 5 in double overtime to conference favorites Northern Guilford and Burlington Williams the conference regular season champs. Plus played and loss twice to 4A champs Southwest Guilford of last year whom could repeat this year. Eastern will always find a way to stay in the mix. If in playoffs somethings could still happen. Heck one year in 2008 season we started out 4-8 and finished 17-11 with a 13-3 record after January and won the conference title, Conference Tournament and advanced to the Sectional Championship game.
