No football coaching duties involved here for Coach Davis, so in the grand scheme of things, Butch Davis will no longer be referred to as Coach Davis, he now will be called ‘Advisor Davis’….Sort of like the old days of Agent 86, Agent 99 and the Chief….No lack of C.O.N.T.R.O.L here, this sounds like a pretty good deal and if you can get it, why not take it and run, but will this post pay him more money than what his buyout was from UNC??? Can you take another job and still keep the buyout bucks??? Former attorney and now First Tee President Mike Barber would be the man to call for advice/advise on this one, I guess, or who should we call??? Strong line of questioning, can you keep the buyout dollars and still join forces and receive a substaintial salary from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers…..Time to bring in the old WKEW AM1400 legal expert Tom Maddox….Tommy Maddox would know what grounds Coach/Advisor Davis will be standing on….Mike Barber, Tom Maddox, Jeff Peraldo, Jan Pritchett, who you gonna call? Bill Murray, Dan Aykrod, Harold Ramos, I can’t believe I remembered those names and even more amazing is that I can spell them too and if I came up short, I was pretty darn close……
Who you gonna call? Coach/Advisor Davis is the man we really need to talk to about this one……Anybody got any old cell phone records so we can decipher his phone number???

In a release on their official website, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers say that Davis will “assist and advise (head coach Greg) Schiano in a wide range of football aspects.” The release indicates that the role will not involve any coaching duties.
