Update on High Point Christian Round Two NCISAA opponent and injury update on leading scorer

#1 High Point Christian Academy defeated #16 Village Christian, 86-72, in Round One action on Tuesday in the NCISAA State Basketball Tournament, for the 3-A private schools…..HPCA is set to play Forsyth Counntry Day in Round Two on Thursday….#9 FCD got the victory on Tuesday, when the Furies topped #8 Hickory Grove 75-66….

Update on the HPCA Cougars leading scorer Jackson Kent, who did not play on Tuesday and reports from the High Point Enterprise(www.hpe.com) say he could miss the entire tournament…..from Michael Lindsay and the Enterprise:

Jackson Kent, who wore a boot on his left foot and did not play, suffered a severely sprained ankle Monday in practice and is doubtful for the rest of the tournament. With a tough win in hand, though, HPCA now looks to Thursday’s game against Forsyth Country Day at 11:30 a.m. at Ravenscroft….

  1. saw j kent at Page game monday night w/ coach clifford. he was wearing a boot then. never guessed he would miss the tourney though. gonna be tough for HPCA to win it w/ out him.

  2. Hard to kick that boot….Have seen a lot of people wearing that around this year……Usually at least 4-6 wks. when the boot goes on…..

  3. I heard Montay Brandon was out as well? Does anyone know if he played last night or if he is planning to play this weekend?

  4. Overheard the Dr. who treated Kent talking to his dad at the Page game. Sounds like he is out for the tournament.
