UNCG’s Wes Miller named Southern Conference Coach of the Year(Still interim, when does he become full-time?)

Wes Miller, the former men’s assistant at UNCG became the interim head coach when Mike Dement stepped down and now, with this major award coming in, you wonder how long it will be before the Spartans and AD Kim Record, elevate Wes Miller and make him their full-time men’s basketball coach….It would seem like if they let him get away and they could let him go and bring somebody else in, that would be like ‘starting all over again’…..And startng all over again, is going be rough, so rough and I’m not sure the current players and those that would be returning next year, could take it…I see most of the team pulling out of here, if Miller is not named the new coach……

  1. Good for Wes! I hope he gets the job. Would perhaps make more people in the region take note of the UNCG basketball program. I was a big fan of Miller’s when he was at UNC. He represented the best of what the UNC program stands for, such as giving a guy a chance and letting him make the most of it.
