College Women’s Tennis Final – #8 Washington and Lee 9, Guilford 0

LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University ran its Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) record to a perfect 5-0 Sunday with a 9-0 home win over Guilford College.

The Generals, ranked eighth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Poll, lost just seven singles points and four doubles points in the sweep. Cameron Dorsey posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at first-singles, one of Washington and Lee’s three shutout wins in the match. The closest match was at fourth singles where Claire Cahill claimed a 6-1. 6-3 decision over Guilford’s Dominique Crespo.

Guilford visits ODAC-rival Virginia Wesleyan College for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
