*****Could see/should see Luis Paula(Northeast Guilford) and George Carter(Northern Guilford) in town as the North Carolina Tar Heels visit the UNCG Spartans today at 6pm at the Spartan Stadium…Both Luis and George have innings under their belt this season for UNC and you never know, maybe we’ll see them out there today, for the Heels….***** Nin Marrero(Western Guilford) on the UNCG team and Ray Crawford(Dudley) still on the UNCG team, but not playing right now…Should be back in the regular lineup by the fall, if not before then…..

Back in the day, Casey was the shortstop right, for WG?? No relation from what we can tell to Alan/Casey/Hoyt Jones of an earlier Western Guilford era…..But Casey teammates with guys like Macon Smith, Joe Turkson, Nin Marrero and others from Hornets….
Luis Paula will not be pitching tonight at UNCG. He is slated to start tomorrow at UNC against Gardner Webb.
Paula family, great people…Miguel and his wife helped out tirelessly to get the Colt Baseball web site set up and everyone is very proud of the job Luis is doing at UNC…In this case I don’t care if it is Duke, Wake, State or Carolina, Luis is doing real good….
And what can you say about the relentlessness of Ron….Ron Paula has hung in there throughout his season too….Good job Luis and Ron….
