‘Between the Lines’ with High School Baseball Tonight

Could be the game of the night with Northeast Guilford(5-2) at Southeast Guilford(5-0) and last year at NEG on a cold and foggy Monday night, NEG topped SEG 4-3(March 7, 2011) and the Falcons had two costly errors, one at SS and one on a high ball way up in the air to CF and that towering ball into the air in center, was almost like one of those skied into the night that don’t want to come down and it finally did and it hit the ground….Tight game last year and since it is a non-conference game and it comes a little later into the season, than it did last year, don’t expect this one to be quite as tight……Both teams with conference action again on Friday, NEG has SW Randolph and SEG faces , so this should be a good smooth battle this evening at SEG….Maybe Bain or Sweet or both Bain and Sweet for SEG and could see Mericka, Colon, and or Canady for NEG and I would think NEG would be saving Jaylin Davis for the key conference clash with SWR on Friday…..All speculation and the same can be said for SEG and Newton….Newton could well be your end-of-the-week hurler for the Falcons, but SEG is off tomorrow and they may want him to throw some tonight…..What about Newton, Bain, Greene and Sweet??? Get ready it’s at 7pm Tonight, as things take flight at Falcon Field….

Also today we have:
Caldwell Academy at Metrolina Christian of Indian Trail, N.C. 4pm….If Richie Sanfilippo pitches, good luck MCIT…..
Magna Vista at McMichael….Phoenix still flying at what now, (4-0)? 4:30pm
Ragsdale at Grimsley 5pm……Ragsdale could go to (6-0) with a win here today….Non-conference, but a win sure would be nice for either team…
Eastern Guilford at Southern Alamance….7pm EG Wildcats got a big win back on Tuesday over Rockingham County to go (3-3), but the level of play must come up when you travel to Graham and meet the SA Patriots….

  1. You are correct with McMichael being 4-0. We will have to wait till Friday to see what could become a potential battle of the powerhouses as we host Eastern Alamance. Should be interesting watching a Biggs/Monroe showdown!
