Harrison Barnes and Doug McDermott were high school teammates back in Ames, Iowa and tomorrow afternoon they will go head to head against each each other, when the North Carolina Tar Heels meet the Creighton Jaybirds, at the Greensboro Coliseum….Two former high school players from the same team, a team that went (53-0) and won back-to-back State Championships for Ames, Iowa, that’s all these two kids did back then, and back then Harrison Barnes was the bigger name and the more renowned rising star, but now McDermott has risen to the top and he is carrying his Jaybirds, averaging 23 point per game for Creighton….McDermott’s dad Greg is his college coach and there is a lot to learn about Barnes and McDermott and where they came from, and where they are looking to go, as they go at it, at the Greensboro Coliseum on Sunday, with a trip to Sweet 16 on the line, on High Point Road at West Lee Street…..
