In the Carolinas Classic High School All-Star basketball games, played this past Saturday, down in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the South Carolina squads grabbed wins in both games with the boys going SC 100, North Carolina 96 and in the girl’s contest, it was South Carolina 90, North Carolina 71…..
For our local players, Tracy Gathings from Smith HS had 9 points on 4-5 shooting from the field and he collected 5 rebounds for the North Carolina team, while Autumn Carter from Rockingham County had a double-double with 13 points and 13 points for the NC Girls All-Stars and Brittany Clency from Western Guilford pumped in 8 points for the Tar Heel team…..Both teams lost, but our local players did a fine job down in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina….

The so called basketball player of the year voting that is on the left of the page is a REAL joke. There needs to be rules that you can only vote once. A parent or friend can sit here and click all day for thier candidate. You can even vote for someone whom you have never even seen play.
