Reid Flippin 1-3 HBP reach 2 times by errors 1 run
Josh Watson 1 bunt 1 run
Adam Foster 1 bunt 1 run
Nic Sisbarro BB 1 run

Nino Marrero allowed one SEG Falcon to reach in the bottom of the 7th….Best pitching effort that we have seen this year, by Marrero today for WG….

Leadoff man Reid Flippin reached for WG in top 7, but that was just about it….Bottom of 7 now….

SEG got one man on in the bottom of the 6th and left him stranded….Excellent so for WG pitcher Nino Marrero…..

Top six for WG they had two bunts, one was a suicide bunt, SEG committed a couple of errors and all is going Western’s way in this and they are playing smart and taking full advantage of it today…SEG now with 6 errors on the day…..Four runs for WG in the top of the sixth….Dallas Newton now pitching for SEG….

5th Inning for SEG:Double by Brent Frazier and then the phantom fly ball to center field by Dallas Newton….No runs through as (P)Nino Marrero(WG) is keeping the Falcons at bay, all way through five…

Not much happening in the 4th….

In the third:WG has two men on base and NO outs….RBI single to right by John Iorio now 3-0 WG….Ground ball toward first and one more scores…WG up 4-0…
Nino Marrero pitching for WG and Craig Jacobelli pitching for SEG….
SEG with another Double from Bain today…..Single by Frazier to lead off the bottom of the 3rd…Fly ball to center(it got down and then out) and then a play on the SEG at third kept the Falcons off the board…..

End of Two innings:
WG 2
SEG 0

End of 1 Inning
Western Guilford 2
Southeast Guiford 0

  1. What is Grimsley’s season looking like? I thought they were good a couple years ago

  2. Grimsley missing injured DJ Reader this season. Lost some close games. One win all season.

Josh Tobias playing third for Florida on ESPNU…right now. Florida vs SC.

  3. We had Western at (6-1) Conference with wins over SEG, Smith(2), Page, Grimsley, Dudley and the one loss to Southern Alamance….SEG (4-1) Metro and at Page on Friday…WG non-conference at NWG on Friday…..Ragsdale at High Point Central and SWG-East Forsyth among others on Friday…..Also Dudley at Grimsley and Smith at Southern Alamance…..Also NEG at North Forsyth in a very important game for the Rams….

Got the WG updated with (6-1) Conference….

  4. Southern Guilford – 3
    North Forsyth – 2

Ryan Hedrick pitched 6 great innings and left the game at the end of the sixth with the score tied 2 – 2. Canada held the Eagles scoreless in the top of the seventh getting a big defensive play from catcher Camden Ball with a pick off at 3rd. Jake Lamb led off the bottom of the 7th with a 2b and Evan Edwards drove in the winning run with two outs. Devonte Mason led the Storm at the plate going 2 for 3 with a home run 2 RBI’s and 1 run scored.

  5. @ Old Player

I think most teams would be missing a player who had a ride to Clemson for football and baseball.

Sorry I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you were really asking and not just being a jerk.

  6. ooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine ours

  7. I feel sorry for western the next time they have to face Southeast Guilford. all of the trash talking by westerns players has only woken an unstoppable beast. look for a southeast team on a mission from here on out..
