High School Softball for Tonight on 4/24/12

Southeast Guilford at Western Guilford 6:30pm….This may be bigger than the baseball game at WG tonight….Brooke Pegram vs. Celeste Sheppard and conference championship ramifications on the line and if they don’t declare the top spot here, they may do it in the Metro Tournament with WG-SEG, SEG-SA, WG-Page, SEG-Page, Page-SA and WG-SA all possibilities….
East Forsyth at Northwest Guilford 7pm….Whomever NWG is playing it is going to be big, because NWG is big and they are battlers behind Coleman….
Dudley at Page 6:30pm….Page is one of those teams, behind Haley Green, that is in the mix….The Pirates win this and then they still have their sights set on SEG, WG and SA…..They want to take them all down….
Southwestern Randolph at Southern Guilford 7pm….SG girls are scrapping the MP 3-A and they can still take the title, but if they don’t win this one tonight, they may have to ‘steal’ the title….
Northern Guilford at Western Alamance 5pm….NG dropped that game to McMichael last Friday night and tonight is the night/day for the Nighthawks to get back on top and show us what they can do….
Eastern Guilford at McMichael 4:30pm
Ragsdale at Glenn 6pm
High Point Central at Southwest Guilford 6pm
Asheboro at Northeast Guilford 6:30pm
Grimsley at Southern Alamance 6:30pm….Lord have mercy on Grimsley assistant coach Robert Stutts….
Wesleyan at High Point Christian Academy 4:30pm…I have been hearing all season, that HPCA has one of the best teams in our area and would like to hear more….

  1. SEG would have to lose three games to give up the regular season championship. They have WG and Page
left in conference play this week. Anything can happen, SEG is hitting the ball well right now. Shutt, Vaughn, McNeil,
Hawks and Webb are on a roll and Sheppard is pitching better than she ever has. There are seven seniors on this team
and their goal is to go out on top. I heard that they all went to the senior prom as group. Sounds like a pretty close group
    of players to me.

  2. Page had to finish up the first game tonight against Dudley since it was rained out a few weeks ago. Page won that game 11 to 6. Page also won second game tonight 9-4. Haley Green winning pitcher for both games! This makes their record 12-5.
