Cycle North Carolina sets record with over 1,100 riders in CNC’s Annual Spring Ride:Where was GreensboroSports.com’s Robert Stutts or Dennis Elliot?

Robert Stutts, from GreensboroSports.com, is supposed to one of our area’s top cyclists, but I did not see his name on the list and where was Dennis Elliot, from Clear Channel Radio and formerly of 1230AM WMFR????? Back when Dennis had his talk show, ‘Opinion Please'(Go ahead!) and later with ‘Tell Your Neighbor'(Guess who’s in the Kitchen cooking with Max?), he used to make this ride every year…..Two local riders/celebrities that have made a name for themselves and nowhere to be seen, as the pack pulled into ‘Little Washington’…..Others on this(What are you saying Dale Brown?), and what about our man Kevin Costner? He used to ride in the lead cycling pack and had the lead role, as the ‘American Flyer’, one of the best sports movies of all time….Also featured a young Alexandrae Paul, who later starred in another ‘sports series’, ‘Baywatch’, with David Hasslehoffler….Robert and Dennis were AWOL from what we can tell, can others tell us more???

Please read all about the event below……A very successful venture…..

inns and vacation homes for the weekend.

Downtown Washington presented a mix of recreational, educational and
cultural activities for cyclists to enjoy. The CNC Spring Ride Kick Off
Dinner was held Friday night allowing participants to share cycling stories
and experience the coastal cuisine. Following the meal, the cyclists were
treated to the entertainment of the Music in the Streets series. The local

included attractions such as McCotter’s Marina, Goose Creek State Park,
Historic Bath, Acre Station Meet Farm and the Aurora Fossil Museum.

The Cycle North Carolina Spring event is a fully supported ride with support
vehicles available to aid cyclists who experience physical or mechanical

thirst. The Cycle North Carolina Spring Ride is presented by BlueCross,
BlueShield of North Carolina. Partner organizations of Cycle North Carolina
include: The N.C. Department of Commerce’s Division of Tourism, Powerade,
