HPCA’s Hadara Bannister signs with Brevard College

Today, Wednesday, April 25th; Hadara Bannister signed her National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Brevard College (NCAA Division 2)

After transferring to High Point Christian Academy to play for Coach Doug Chilton her senior year, having played two seasons under the tutelage of Coach Kenny Carter at High Point Central.

Hadara lead her team to the best record in school history for women’s basketball; she earned all conference player in the PACIS conference and HPCA made it to the quarter final in the states. She was also selected as the most outstanding player for her team and finished the season with the best statistics during her high school career; averaging 13 points, 2 steals, and 3 rebounds per game and shot 75 percent from the free throw line.

Hadara is very excited to play at the next level and plans to work hard on her game during the summer so that she will be in a position to contribute and have an immediate impact her freshman year.

Hadara has been playing basketball since the fifth grade for several different AAU/showcase teams and she wants to thank all her coaches during those years, her family, friends, and all the fans that supported her during the past several years.

  1. I saw this young lady play several times over the past couple of years and I have spoken with her directly 2 or 3 times over the past year. She plays the game with passion and will give it her all as needed by her team. Even more impressive, she carries herself with class and has always represented well with her words. If she is always like this on and off the court, then I am sure she will be very success in college and life in general. It is good to see good people get reward. Good Luck at Brevard College !

  2. Congratulations Hadara and family! A great baller and an even greater person. We sure miss you being with us on the AAU circuit this year, best of luck to you at Brevard! Play ball……… GO MID-STATE MAGIC!
