  4. McMichael suffered a heartbreaking loss tonight that was due to worst calls by umpires that I have ever seen. Bad calls is something that most every ball team is use to and you deal with it, but in this case they completely took McMichael out of the game. 2 extremely bad calls basically decided the game. I am normally about the kids but will have to say as far as sportmanship Cardinal Gibbons has the most disrespectful kids that I have seen to stand in front of the opposing teams fans and smile point fingers and make rude comments to parents and fans while their own coach and the umpires watch without saying a word is beyond me. Thei r coach argued every play ran across the field screamed at the umpires and only received a warning, while on the other hand McMichael’s assistant coach questioned a call and was thrown out. I think the private schools need to compete with other private schools because they have no place in high school baseball, if they are private let them stay that way. I have seen good competitive clean rivalries but the way those kids presented themselves was not necessary and should be ashamed. McMichael played an awesome game and but when you have to beat the other team and the umpires you don’t have a chance. Good luck to Eastern Alamance!
