Beginning when he was eight years old, former Wesleyan Christian Academy standout Michael Dimock started dreaming of becoming a professional baseball player.
If all goes as planned, that dream will come to fruition this afternoon at his home in Greensboro today when a representative of the Houston Astros comes calling to get Dimock’s signature on a minor-league contract. The signing would come two days after Dimock, one of the aces of Wake Forest’s bullpen the past two seasons, was taken by the Astros in the 37th round of the Major League Draft.
