Greensboro Colt Baseball Tonight from War Memorial Stadium(Graham Sporting Goods)

Southern Guilford 12
Vandalia 2
(5 Innings)

Southwest Guilford 12
Northeast Guilford 2

*****I pulled out of there in the Top of the 5th Inning….*****

NEG got down early and then they went to a reliever and he was a little guy, but he did have a mean curve ball….I have to give it to that kid #4 and they called him Brody, he was tough and he did not allow much damage and he was able to keep the game in check/in hand with his curve ball….He looked like he just came from the NEG Middle School, but this kid Brody will be one to keep an eye on, in the future….He has excellent form, he picks his spots well and he carries himself on the field likke a veteran…..SWG hit the ball long and hard early and they always have good talent on the Southwest Guilford teams….Those kids can play and baseball is a big deal over at SWG….Southern hit the ball hard too and made plays to score runs and the more they hit it and the more they scored, the less Vandalia looked like they wanted to be out there tonight……Tough night for VCS and tough night too for NEG, but when Brody came in, he was able to settle things down and you never know, he might be the long-lost grandson of Bruiser Brody….You never know these days….Good night to see some games at the ‘Old Ballyard'(Memorial Stadium) and Mr. Miguel Paula was on call tonight, for the Greensboro Colt Baseball crew and good to see Mr. Paula and to get good news on his son Luis(NEG/UNC) and the work he is doing this Summer, pitching for Forest City, in the Coastal Plain League…..In the CPL, it is a broken finger for DeSean Anderson(Ragsdale/USC/RCC/Pembroke) and he will be out of action for about 6-8 weeks and they will miss him in the Hi-Toms lineup…..

There it is, our local sports report for tonight…….(Brought to you by Graham Sporting Goods at www.grahamsportinggoodsnc.com…….)
