Local Baseball Tonight with SEG Junior Legion in comeback win over Randleman

One of those great comebacks and fantastic finishes tonight down at Southeast Guilford….

Junior American Legion Baseball tonight at Southeast Guilford High School:

Southeast Guilford 8
Randleman 7

WP:Zack Canada
LP:Caleb Robinson

4-0 SEG early and then Randleman battled back to make it 4-1 SEG, then it became 4-4 and then SEG went up 5-4 and you look up and Randleman is up 7-4 headed to the botttom of the 7th inning and then SEG stages the one-out rally and the Falcons win it, on a suicide-squeeze bunt by Hunter Lockomy that scores Zack Canada from third baae….Falcons win it 8-7…..

Caleb Robinson went the distance on the hill for Randleman and for the game the numbers read like this with:
RAN-7-6-2……7 errors by SEG, but the Falcons still fought back to win….Josh Blackwell for SEG was 2-2 with 2 runs scored and two BB’s….Devon Sweet had two BB’s and was hit by a pitch and scored one run…..Zack Canada was 2-4 with two runs and scored the game-winning run….Cam Gardner 2-4 with a two-run double and three RBI’s….Hunter Lockomy 2 RBI’s and the game-winning RBI…Tommy Michaels 2 BB’s….Austin Coble 1 RBI and solid team defense….

Luke Robinson for Randleman was 2-4 with a BB and one run scored….Trevor Clemmons went 1-4 with a double, an RBI and one run scored….Spencer Hamilton was 2-2 with a BB and one run scored…E. Walls was 1-2 with one run…

This was the first time that I have seen the Robinsons and Clemmons and all of those kids are good players….I can see why Shining Light won the State Title this year….Those Robinsons can play some ball….

Also good to see Coach Van Hurley, Coach Beasley and the Gambles, III and IV……

It wasn’t pretty, but it was good baseball tonight at Southeast Guilford……

  1. Great finish and super effort in the comeback by the Falcons.

Have followed the Robinsons for many years and that is a tough and talented bunch.

  2. Word around the county is Robinsons and Clemmons might be leaving Shininglight and heading south on 220 and getting off at Randleman exit next season.
