Hot Football action coming up next Friday with 7 on 7’s at Wake Forest University

It will be the hottest game in town(Winston-Salem) next Friday the 13th, when Wake Forest Univeristy hosts their annual 7 on 7 passing tournament and we should have several area and Guilford County teams headed that way with Northern Guilford in for sure, plus our Northwest Guilford Vikings are the defending Champions, so NWG will be back at Wake, to defend their title and we should see others over there as well….

Page and Northwest Guilford have a 7 on 7 meeting coming up soon, Page is heading down to Hoover, Alabama later on this month and Southeast Guilford should be getting ready to head down to Northwood sometime soon, for the annual roundup hosted by the Chargers, there in Pittsboro….

The holiday time is moving on through and the 7 on 7’s will be done soon and on August 1, things will change and the high school football season will take on a whole new personality, as the teams start preparing for the Friday August 17 openers…..It is all starting to come together pretty quick and the first kick will be here before you know it….

Big 7 on 7 coming up next Friday at Wake Forest and others coming in-between…

  1. NW @ Page 7on7 could be another preview of a possible Playoff match up in the fall?

  2. The Wake Forest 7 on 7 is a really good one. Last year I think their were 32 teams at it from NC, VA, SC, and GA. Any word on who all will be there this year?

a few teams I remember from our area last year were….
    Mt Tabor
    NE Guilford
    Forsyth County Day

  3. 7 on 7″s aren’t the true indication of how a team will be once the season starts. It just a filler in the summer to wet the appetite of the fans. There is no pass rush or pressure like the real game. It has really been overblown because teams want play in those defensive schemes come August 17th. So just hold ur role til then and wait till the first week in November, then we will see who’s who. Northeast, Carver,NW Guilford passing teams,c’mon give me a break, Page, only out of necessity. We shall see, we WILL see . . . . .
