  1. I am not a soccer guy and I would not have known about this event if I had not read it here. Is this a big event for soccer and do fans support this level of soccer well in this area. I do remember the Dynamo use to play at UNCG years ago but I don’t know where they play now. What kind of crowd or following does the games with the Dynamo draw.

  2. I was with the Dynamo back in 1994 when they won their last National Championship and they won it in a shootout at UNCG in front of 5,500 fans and it was the biggest soccer game in the history of this city….Beat the Minnesota Thunder I think it was for the Title and knocked off the Charleston Battery in a tight one on Saturday night in the semifinals….Dynamo played a Round One in the tournament that year(1994) against a team from Alabama called the Grasshoppers, of all names…..

*****Two more names to add from that 1994 Dynamo team that I thought of were:
Jason Haupt and Mike Gailey….Pretty sure that Round One win in ’94 was against the Birmingham Grasshoppers from Alabama….*****

Great season back in 1994 with Brian Japp, Eddie Radwanski, Jimmy Glenn, Aieden Heaney, Aieden Murphy, Michael Parker and others….I helped do their radio show back in the day, so I knew them well….
