More College Football Numbers from Saturday and ‘Shining Moments’ for Kasey Redfern(Ragsdale/Wofford) and Tony Washington(HP Andrews/APP)

Big day for Kasey Redfern(Ragsdale HS) and his Wofford Terriers, as they topped Appalachian up in Boone and the kicker Kasey had quite a day for Wofford going 5-5 on PAT kicks, he had one field goal from 29 yards out, he punted 5 times for a 39.8 average and he had 6 kickoffs and he carried a 64.3 average on his kickoffs…Great day for Redfern and Wofford…..Not a super day for Appalachian, since they lost the game, but APP’s Tony Washington(High Point Andrews) was outstanding with his 99-yard kickoff return for a toucdown and he hauled in 7 passes for 75 yards and that gave TW, from HPA, 174 yards on the day….

Also from APP, Adam Scott(Northwest Guilford) had one tackle assist on the aftrnoon…

John McBeth(Northern Guilford) came up with 2 tackles and 1 assist for Western Carolina in the Catamounts loss to Elon…

Orlando Hatfield(Page) grabbed two passes for 15 yards for Winston-Salem State on Saturday…

Eric Ebron(Smith) with 5 receptions for 68 yards to lead the UNC Tar Heels on Saturday night at Duke, but Ebron also fumbled twice in the game and the Heels lost both of them…

Zach Maynard(Grimsley) was 19-31 passing for 214 yards with 1 Int and 0 TD’s on Saturday for the Cal Bears…Maynard ran the ball 8 times for -10 yards for Cal…

Keenan Allen(Northern Guilford) had 4 receptions for 43 yards and he had 1 punt return for 29 yards for Cal in the Bears’ loss to Stanford…

Christian McCain(Northern Guilford) made 5 tackles and he had 2 assists for Cal and one of his tackles was for a loss…

Gabe King(Page) had 1 assist on a tackle for Cal on defense…

Lamar Ivey(Eastern Alamance) with 3 tackles for ECU vs. UAB Saturday in the Pirates’ 42-35 victory….

Jonathan White(High Point Central) with 1 tackle for East Carolina…

Rocco Scarfone(Northern Guilford) also with 1 tackle for ECU…..

Kenny Okoro(Dudley) with 2 tackles and 1 assist for Wake Forest on Saturday at UVA…

  1. Michael Via from Page/NE Guilford started at center for Virginia Tech against Clemson. He’s been very versatile for the Hokies this season, starting at right guard, left guard, and now center.
