  1. GDS does not have anyone that can play a true post position. Their starting point guard is nearly 6’8″ but he is not a post player. They are a dribble drive and jump shot team. A team with a good post presents (HPC or Christ School) or a team with good defensive guard play (WES) could beat GDS. This will be a very interesting year because all of the key teams (HPC, GDS, Christ School and WES) all have their specific strong points that are different from the other that makes each a major problem for each other. The state champion will come down to who can play their game and shut down what the other team wants to do. GDS will need more than Reggie and Reed with the ability to get 15-20 points on any given night. The new kid that transferred from Southern looks really good.

  2. Who do they have manning the point for GDS? Is that Christian Hairston? He is probably the one in the 6’8 mode or frame…..I wish Brett Manning would have stayed in town and played for the Bengals and he could have been their point and just a little thinking out loud….

  3. HPCA’s depth and athleticism, not to mention their size will be a tough matchup for anyone. They have essentially everyone back. The one major piece they lost to App St, they ended up getting the Kobani kid in return. Add in Malik Wright from SE Guilford and the Phillips kid from Dudley and they are most likely a lot better than last year and that group was pretty good.
