P.J. Hairston(Dudley HS/Hargrave) could be sidelined for #9 North Carolina at #1 Indiana on Tuesday night(Reports now say #15 Hairston is OUT)

New update:Reports now say #15 Hairston is OUT…….
(See CLICK below)

A knee injury could sideline PJ Hairston(Dudley HS) from Tuesday night’s North Carolina vs. Indiana basketball game….The word is PJ(UNC guard) suffered the injury in practice and that he will miss tomorrow evening’s contest at the #1 team in the nation, the Indiana Hoosiers…..

PJ was always getting banged up his junior year at Dudley and he went down in pain at Western Guilford, at home vs. Burlington Cummings and JT Terrell and in the Greensboro Coliseum vs. Oak Hill…That is just a few of his missteps/falls…It was almost like back in those days, that PJ had to get a bit banged-up, before he got fired-up….Saw him in the game at Western Guilford right before the half with a wrist injury and he came back out and hit for 30 points in the second half….Probably went 9-11 from three-point range….

Here is the word on the current knee injury from the News and Record staff reports on-line…..CLICK HERE…..

  1. Is this really news he is always hurt or getting hurt, i wouldnt want to play against the number one team in the country either. So i guess now when they get blowed out of the gym that will be the tarholes excuse why they lost . Just wait THE EXCUSES will start roling in. lol

  2. PJ will be back and I don’t think he wanted to miss this game….Over his last three-four games his stock has been way and up and when you miss games, there is always that chance that someone else will move into your spot….

PJ Hairston is a good young man and although the North Carolina Tar Heels have caused me much grief over the years during my time as a strong N.C. State fan, I still have to say I will always support the kids like PJ, Eric Ebron and others that have come though our GreensboroSports.com system…

PJ still follows this site and I ran into him at the McDonald’s on Battleground at Cone a few weeks back and it was good to see him….

I sort of feel like he, James Summers, Eric Ebron, Daniel Downing, and many of those other kids that have come through here are still one of us and everyone that reads here and has there story told here is part of the ‘Brotherhood’…..

  3. i am a dukie and a wolfpack and anybody else , not a tarholes fan at all. pretty sure that 10.9 average would have made a difference last night. tarholes got blew out of the gym just as i stated earlier. wow what a game.
