Julius Brooks(Page HS) finishes college basketball career and a good effort by JB in loss to ECU in the CIT

Anything that involved Loyola Maryland college basketball over the past four years, I tried to follow it….Julius Brooks(Page High School) attended Loyola and he finished up his college hoops career with a loss to the Pirates, of East Carolina University….

This game was part of the College Insiders Tournament on the post-season circuit and Julius went out on top, at least he was one of the top players on the court last night in the 70-58 win by ECU at the Minges Coliseum, in Greenville, N.C.

Julius closed out his career with just 4 points, but he added 7 big rebounds and he blocked two shots in 24 minutes of action for Loyola….

The best part of the whole deal is that Julius should have has diploma in hand, by the end of May and that is what means the most, in the real world of sports these days….

Good job Julius and congratulations on a four-year college baseketball career at the D-I level…..

The win by ECU takes them on to the CIT semifinals and it gives Jeff Lebo’s Pirates 21 wins on the season and that is the most wins by the Pirates, since back when ‘Big Jim’ Modlin was there back in the early 70’s, along with Coach Jim Tom Quinn, plus Jim Fairley and Jim Gregory……

Again, good job Julius Brooks and we look forward to seeing that big smile on your face the day you receive that Loyola diploma…..
