  1. Congratulation to the Hornets tonight. The hamburger(s) were great also!

I hated to see it end for our seniors tonight but it was a hard fought, back and forth game. You guys were much improved and came oh so close to making it to the playoffs.

Coach Eggers and his staff did an outstanding job this year and have a very solid core to build on for next year. You are returning some seasoned players who should be a contending team in the Metro next year.

The key is as the coach says keep working all year long. If you want to get better don’t just pick up the glove and bat in February and then take every opportunity to slack off and every break to be lazy.

Sports are a great life lesson in that you have to put in the hard work to get better. I’m convinced that Grimsley can strike a balance between academics and sports but it takes hard work and dedication to do both well.

  2. Congratulations to the Cowboys! They played one heck of a game. Matt “Doc” Dale pitched lights out! Andrew Bullock also stepped up with a key line drive that helped cement the win. We are all very proud of the Cowboys for finishing the year VERY strong. Lets keep it rolling!
