Austin Dillon to Drive the #3 In NASCAR’s Sprint Cup

Is it time to move on? Richard Childress thinks so. It’s been 13 years since Dale Sr. died and Childress pocketed the #3.

Dillon is the grandson of Childress and has been racing the #3 as he climbs up the NASCAR race ladder.

He’s a pretty good kid, I met him at High Point University, while he was a Communication Major. He is now studying Business, which works better with his professional race schedule.

With so many new drivers and teams switching so often, the #3 does not have the same draw as it once did with the NASCAR fan – or does it?
