GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College dropped a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women’s swimming contests Friday night at Greensboro College. The host Pride claimed a 126-39 victory over Guilford and Hollins University posted a 106-66 triumph over the Quakers (0-8, 0-7 ODAC).
Guilford’s Francesca Quigley placed second in the 200-yard individual medley in a personal-best time of three-minutes, 13.65 seconds. She also had the Quakers’ best finish (6th) in the 100 freestyle with another career-low, 1:16.66.
Kendra Medina returned to the competitive pool for the first time in two months and took second in the 100 backstroke in 1:14.80.
The Quakers’ Morgan McKinnon had Guilford’s third second-place result with a 1:25.10 in the 100 breaststroke.
Guilford senior Abby Gove placed third in the 500 freestyle in 8:16.42, the Quakers’ second-fastest time of the season.
Coach Emily Wilson’s team turns around and heads up to Roanoke, Va., tomorrow (1/25) for an ODAC dual meet at Hollins.
