Games are a Wash!(Back to business on Wednesday)

No high school baseball games in the United States, or least NO games in the immediate area of Guilford County proper(TODAY)…

The Prospects Tournament will move all of their remaining games to Wednesday and it will be much cooler, but Lee Kinard is still calling for sunshine and bright skies….Well maybe Lee is not on this week’s weather board or map, but that is what Emily Byrd/Van Denton, Grant Gilmore and Monty Montello have been putting our there from their weather charts….(“Thank-you Monty”, as Sharon Stone would be saying on a regular basis.)

Hoping for the skies to be clear tomorrow and for baseball to be back in the forecast….Watching for Northern Guilford-Rockingham County, Southeast Guilford-Grimsley and for Randleman-McMichael to all be going on at NewBridge Bank Park and we will have all of the game times and air times for those games ready for you at GreensboroSports Radio later on today or early in the morning….

Coach Clark Erskine from McMichael and Coach Jake Smith from Randleman, will have their teams stoked up for the big Prospects Tournament Championship Game and that ought to really be one heck of a game/finale….

All of those young prospects from Randleman like Walls, Welch, Clemmons, Marsh, Webster, Adams, Routh, Dixon, Gantt, Kemp and more and from McMichael you have Bump Martin, Blaine Dalton, Austin Elrod, Tuttle, Vaughn, Williams, Hall, Disque, King, Doss, Motsinger and more too….

The Eastern Guilford Easter/Spring Break Tournament will continue on Wednesday as well, and that must have been real heart-stopper last night, in the eight-inning win by Southern Guilford over Eastern Guilford….EG made it to the third round of the NCHSAA playoffs last season and that win by Southern, right there, ought to validate what the Storm have been doing all season long…..

Taking care of business and knocking off all opponents, both quality competitors and all that are in sight….That puts SG at (14-1) overall now and they have reached a #5 ranking in the state, in the Impact Baseball Poll….SG is for real and they just have to keep on making sure they seal the deal…..

Not for certain that our teams in the eastern portion of the state, NWG, SWG and Ragsdale will get put on hold today, due to the rain, but all should be OK for play on Wednesday and with the Easter Break ready to break out, it is time to play some ball and time to get in some extra practice reps during the down time from school….No time to be taking it easy now…..The season is two-thirds of the way done and the stretch run is right in front of your face….

This is the time for all top teams to come to the aid of their programs…Time to step/step and be accounted for….This is the time when your season will be made or broken into pieces in the sand….Time to let it roll and take control of your destiny…

This is it and their will be no split…Time to win both ends of the doubleheaders and time to take the Titles and bring them home to roost in your room at the hacienda…..

Baseball on Wednesday and all we can do is speculate and hope all teams are ready for the finish and if not, they will need to get ready, before it is too late….
