Ray Crawford Named CVCL Player of the Week

The Carolina Virginia Collegiate League has announced its weekly award winners, and for the second consecutive week, a Kernersville Bulldog player has been named CVCL Player of the Week. The CVCL Player of the week for week nine of the regular season has been awarded to Ray Crawford.

Ray Crawford enjoyed a historical week for the Kernersville Bulldogs in helping them pick up six wins during that span. Crawford batted .444 for the week with seven runs scored, two doubles, and three stolen bases. Crawford was also exceptional as a run producer in the middle of the Bulldogs lineup as he recorded 15 RBI’s for the week. The 15 RBI’s by Crawford were the most ever in one week by a Kernersville Bulldogs Player.

With the 15 RBI’s he picked up, Crawford now leads the Carolina Virginia Collegiate League in runs batted in with 38. The Winston Salem State product currently ranks among the league leaders in several offensive categories including third in the CVCL in batting average (.447) and tied for first in total hits (46).
