Romar Morris DWI may mean more touches for T.J. Logan(Northern Guilford HS) vs. Pitt

Next man up when one man goes down and that may well be the case at UNC with RB Romar Morris getting hit with the DWI early Sunday morning and this had to be soon after the team got back into town/Chapel Hill from Miami, where the Heels feel hard to the Hurricanes on Saturday….This may be the break T.J. Logan has been looking for and you hate to see someone earn the advantage like this, but if you get the chance to step up, you have to take and run…Run, run, and run some more you hope and Khris Francis(Durham Hillside) will get his shots too with the ball and you still don’t know for sure what the carry plan will be for QB Marquis Williams(Mallard Creek) next Saturday…Williams has been the Heels top back in terms of rushing yardage in recent games….Now is the time for Logan to take his opportunity and run with it, he has done it before, no reason to think he can’t get it rolling again vs. the Pitt Panthers…Duke’s QB ran it in on Pitt late to get the Blue Devils the win on the road and if your line is on time vs. Pitt, you have a chance to make some key gains…..

from www.goheels.com and www.espn.com:
North Carolina suspended backup running back Romar Morris for one game, a day after he was arrested for driving while impaired.

Morris will miss the Tar Heels’ next game, against Pittsburgh on Nov. 15, the school announced in a statement Monday. According to The Associated Press, Chapel Hill police pulled Morris over early Sunday morning for failing to stay in his lane.

Though the school statement did not address the DWI, coach Larry Fedora said, “We hold our players accountable for their actions and when a player makes a poor decision, he must face the consequences. I’m hopeful Romar will learn from his mistake and make better decisions in the future.”

Morris has 44 carries for 162 yards and four touchdowns this season.

  1. Maybe after the you know what hits the fan in Chapel Hill he could look to come home to A&T.

  2. @Rudy Nah, he’s not smart enough. The AFAM program at A&T actually requires attendance and, you know, like work.

  3. I think TJ Logan is going to be fine no matter where he decides to do his football work and his academic work…One big breakthrough and you can be on your way, just need to take advantage of one of those openings…
