Graham Sporting Goods High School Basketball Tonight for (1/13/15) with light schedule due to Exam Week

Here is what we have for tonight with a few key games going on, but for the most part, most teams taking time off due to exams….

Dudley girls(10-4) at High Point Andrews(8-1) 7:30pm….Was at this game last year and it was played on a Saturday night at Dudley and HPA battled behind the leadership of Imani Watkins and would get close, but Andrews could never close out Dudley and Rouse….Edge might just go to Andrews this evening since they are the home team, but the problem is, Essence Abraham of Dudley loves to win and she might be ready to will her team to a win tonight if the situation presents itself….Should be “Game of the Night”…..
Dudley boys at the Christ School in Arden, N.C. 7pm….Dudley at (6-5) and the Christ School at (12-6) and David Gaines is no longer the coach of the Greenies…Christ School has a new coach and Gaines coached all of the Plumlees(Miles, Mason and Marshall), plus Tory Warren(former Dudley football player who once played basketball at the Christ School)…David Price gone for a while now from Dudley and now David Gaines, gone from the Christ School…
New Garden Friends at High Point Christian 7pm(Boys Only)….HPCA needs to be getting ready to make a run and they may have some new players checking in now that second semester is fully under way….
Westchester Country Day at Caldwell Academy 7pm….From what we have been seeing and studying this season, WCD does not have a girls team so the boys game would be the only matchup here and the Caldwell boys have to make some noise and make it real soon…Time is running out on this season….Watch for John Brewer to get off to a good start and lead the Eagles in this one….
Greensboro Day School @ Calvary Baptist(Winston-Salem) 5:30pm….GDS is priming for the WES game one week from tonight and the Bengal men need all of the competition that they can find right now, to be sure that they will be ready for next week at WES….WES is headed out toward Missouri for the Bass Pro Shop Tournament beginning on Wednesday and they just have to hope to be able to play up to a high level of competition and to not get anyone hurt prior to next Tuesday night in High Point….WES has done a good job of that so far this season and GDS has taken care of all of their business at hand, entering tonight’s action at (22-0)….
Forsyth Country Day at Wesleyan 6pm…Key conference action(PACIS) for the Trojans on both sides of the gym, for the girls under Coach Glenn Foster and for the boys, led by Coach Keith Gatlin…
Reidsville at Bartlett Yancey 6pm
*****Rockingham County Schools have canceled all after-school activities that begin after 5 p.m. today because of the threat of inclement weather, according to a Facebook post.*****(This report from www.news-record.com..)

  1. Just FYI- I believe the GDS v. Calvary Baptist game is being played at Calvary Baptist in Winston-Salem.

  2. Did the MaxPreps checkup and have made the adjustment for GDS at Calvary Baptist….

Yes ago, Mark Corts was the dynamic leader/minister at Calvary Baptist and then he got taken down by cancer, if my memory is still on the right page today…..

  3. Looks to me like High Andrews will beat Dudley tonight. Andrews is better that what people have been giving them credit for.

High Point Andrews wins by 7 points tonight.

  4. Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions coming us this weekend out in Missouri….With Wesleyan(High Point) attending and here is what MaxPreps.com is saying:

Bass Pro brings big time to Missouri
Last year’s championship game at the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions in Springfield, Mo., was played in front of 10,000 fans and a CBS Sports Network national television audience. Making its first trip to the event, Oak Hill Academy should help keep JQH Arena on the campus of Missouri State University packed once again. No. 8 Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, N.C.) and a third Top 10 team in Bishop O’Dowd will join Steve Smith’s Warriors in the eight team field. CBS Sports Network will broadcast both semifinals Friday night (9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. EST) and the championship game on Saturday (10 p.m. EST).
