(Ferrum, Virginia) – The 2015 USA South Football Media Day will be hosted by Ferrum College in Ferrum, Virginia and take place on Thursday, July 30th at 1:00 p.m. Each of the Conference’s eight football coaches will address the media and give their thoughts on the upcoming football season.
This season marks the 15th year of USA South football. Last season, in its last as a member of the USA South, Christopher Newport captured league championship honors with a 7-1 Conference mark. In NCAA Tournament play, the Captains defeated Delaware Valley, 29-26, before falling to Widener, 37-27, in the second round. CNU departs the USA South with ten Conference championships and an all-time League record of 78-17. The Captains will now compete in the New Jersey Athletic Conference as an affiliate member.
The unveiling of the football preseason poll will take place on the day of the event. The place of each team in the voting will be revealed moments prior to each coach speaking. The head coach of the last place team will speak first and the event will conclude with words from the head coach of the preseason favorite.
