Baseball Today/Tonight:
Morehead at Page 5pm….Westlake, Hardin, Pegram, and others will be tough for Pirates….Another kid from Page that we all found to be very interesting last year was the young kid Kaeco..Eddie Kaeco, I think it was and it got people talking about “The Kaeco Kid”….A very flexible pitcher and a hitter that can find one for you in the clutch….
Lexington at High Point Andrews(0-1) 5:30pm
Southeast Guilford at Northern Guilford(1-0) 7pm….GAME OF THE DAY/NIGHT right here….Pike and Cotter both saw time on the mound for NG on Monday, but either or, might have some more time in them today….SEG first game of the year and with McDade back behind the plate that will steady the ship and the Smith kids(Caleb and Carson) are a big boost and Devin Bartley is a horse and also a Falcon…Chris Schiebley might be SEG’s top pitcher….Not sure if we will see him tonight or not???
Reidsville at Eastern Guilford 7pm….Keep an eye on the Robinson brothers from EG…Andrew has signed with Western Carolina and Luke may be holding out options for the draft, we will just have to wait and see…Finerty is another name to watch for EG and I think it is now Isaiah Finerty….Robinson brothers need to clean house this season, it is their last one in Wildcat uniforms…Travis Hunt is another fast-moving EG Wildcat and he really came on last season and last summer in the local Colt League baseball…Hunt is a factor and he will factor into what happens with EG, NG and NEG this season….Those three teams will battle like they are in a horse race in the Mid-State 3-A Baseball Conference…They will earn their racing stripes this season and the NEG Rams have pinstripes on their pants this season, so maybe they have a head start…It will come down to the pitching and last year Andrew Robinson came on strong for EG(I believe T. Hunt got big for EG/plus Finerty too), but you have to look at Josh Pike(NG), Cameron Cotter(NG), Jacob Brown(NEG), Parker Strader(NEG), all of those kids have All-Conference credentials…..

Finerty is Isaiah, the youngest
Travis Hunt is another player to watch for EG. He can play about any position but will probably be Shortstop and pitching. Travis had some good outings pitching in the colt league World Series in Indiana this summer.
Good call and I have added T. Hunt….He belongs on the list and he has really grown over the past 2-3 years….Much stronger and more mature as he hits 2016….
