CBS MaxPreps Xcellent 25 Girls Basketball Rankings for March 10(Northwest Guilford Girls check in at #23 nationwide)

Good to see the Northwest Guilford Lady Vikings getting some love……
*****23. (NR) Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, N.C.) 30-0*****
Here’s what Jim Stout, Clay Kallam and MaxPreps are saying about NWG:
23. (NR) Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, N.C.) 30-0
Northwest Guilford hasn’t played the toughest schedule, but going unbeaten in North Carolina — or anywhere, for that matter — is far from easy. But there’s only game left, against 29-2 Millbrook, in the 4A title game.

  1. It’s about time!!!These girls have played the toughest schedule possible (other than maybe playing Forest Trial and Providence Day) Dudley 3x, SW 3x, East Davidson, North Rowan, etc without travelling many many hours. Good for them getting national recognition. Stinks that the state of NC doesn’t allow teams to play in some sort of national tourney!! GO VIKS!!!

  2. I posted this on another thread, but am thinking maybe this one is newer and getting more traffic for a response. Does anyone have any news on Morgan Pointer and whether or not she will play Satrday? I saw on social media that she was in a pretty serious accident on Wednesday.

  3. I spoke to some people out at Northwest tonight and they said that had not heard anything about this…

Could all just be social media talk and hopefully nothing to it…

  4. Got more info tonight and Morgan was in an automobile accident, but she is OK and she will play on Saturday…

She will be ready for Raleigh(Millbrook) in Chapel Hill…

Got the word about the wreck tonight and wanted to make sure we got the word up here for you and our thoughts and prayers are out there for Morgan and all that were involved in the accident…

She practiced full speed on Thursday and she will be ready…
