ELON — Tyler Bryant pitched most of a two-hitter for Eastern Alamance as the visiting Eagles blanked Western Alamance 8-0 in the quarterfinals of the Mid-State 3-A Conference Tournament for baseball Tuesday night.

THOMASVILLE – Asheboro High School’s varsity baseball game with Ledford was suspended in the bottom of the third inning Tuesday night.

The Mid-Piedmont Conference Tournament semifinal game was delayed a couple of times before suspended with Ledford holding a 2-1 lead with a runner on and two outs. The game will be resumed today at 5 p.m., followed by Southwestern Randolph and Southern Guilford in the second semifinal.
